TipOn Rules
The rules here are intended to apply to all tipping competitions regardless of the sport/league. Any additional rules or prize pool details (if the tipping competition has one) for any paritcular sport/league will be detailed below the main rules.
- Users can TipOn each week's games up to the start of the first game of the respective week.
- Users can edit their tips for each week, so long as the first game of the respective week has not begun. To edit tips for a given week, simply TipOn that week's games again.
- In the time between the start of the first, and last, game of a given week a user can edit all their tips (even if no prior tips have been placed) by using the buyback feature. A buyback will only allow you to edit tips for games that have not yet begun. For example, if the second game of a week is currently live, using the buyback will only allow you to edit your tips on the third game onwards.
- A user can only use the buyback feature once in every week.
- Using the buyback feature will incur a cost of -1 (minus one) point to your total for the respective week.
- Each correct win tip will award 1 (one) point.
- Winners are decided by their total points at the end of the regular season.
- In the event of a tie, weekly scores will be used to determine winners. For example, if Player 1 and Player 2 both have 200 points at the end of the regular season, and Player 1's highest weekly score is 7 points while Player 2's highest weekly score is 6 points, then Player 1 will be determined the winner.
- If several users are still tied after the process of Rule 8, tipping will continue into the finals for those users who are tied. Once the finals have concluded, Rule 8 will be reapplied to determine a winner. If a clear winner cannot be determined, the prize pool will be divided amongst the remaining tied users.
